FourWhere – The Location-Based Social Search

FourWhere joins the best of Foursquare and Google Maps. It is a search engine for location based social network. If we want to explore a place, the best option is FourWhere. You can select a location by city or neighborhood and then view all the venues in that area. Be it restaurants, stores or places of entertainment, you can even view the tips / reviews offered by people who have been to that venue before. It also shows the location, with the number of checkins in that venue.

The site was developed by Sysomos, the social media analytics service company using the public data from Foursquare and Google Maps API. “More people are using location-based services such as Foursquare, Yelp, Twitter and Gowalla. Today’s launch of FourWhere is the first step in bringing the local buzz together.” says Nick Koudas, chief executive and co-founder with Sysomos.

The best part is that it’s a free service and you don’t even have to login. So if you need to know about a restaurant or a museum or anything else, you just need to get to that location, and what people have to say about it!
